Cross-Cultural Coalition logoThe Cross-Cultural Coalition (CCC) is a non-profit organization that provides donors, advocates and volunteers the organization they require to create diverse educational and cultural events and opportunities for South Side Tallahassee residents.

CCC offers free: 1) public programs moderated by academic scholars on history, dance, art, music and film of cultures across the globe, including Africa and the Diaspora; 2) performances by local and visiting artists; 3) art exhibitions and sales; 4) international opportunities for children and adults; and 5) scholars to liaison with South Side public schools to help enhance students’ experiences, desires, and chances to successfully attend college.

We will drive to Orlando to take an evening flight on GOL Airlines to Salvador, Bahia (SSA) and arrive the next day. We will stay in the heart of the historic district, known as the Pelourinho, where Brazil's most African-influenced carnival takes place. It is NOTHING like Rio's. The art, food, dance, drums, music and people are amazing and rootsy. Join us.

ArtiGras 2020 is on its way!

Dress to impress in your favorite Mardi Gras costume, mask, or jester suit or simply come as you are!

This year's festivities will be hosted at Railroad Square Craft House and in the newly renovated Art Garden!

6 PM is when we open the doors, and we will kick things off with our Celebration Parade with the Disciples of Music Brass Band at 6:30 PM.

Shortly afterwards we will be hearing from the Sauce Boss with his musical talents that are not to be out done by the gumbo he will be cooking up during the event! A free tasting of the gumbo will be available once the Sauce Boss gives the approval on his signature dish!

The Railroad Square Craft house will be ready to sling some drinks for you. They focus on craft beer, craft wine and craft wine cocktails. Their happy hour is from 4 pm - 7 pm, so get there early to get some good deals! They also have a food menu that can be found on their website at and will have Red Beans & Rice with Sausage as their special for the day!

A costume contest will take place during the event, lots of dancing, and fun times too!
